I tried to take a new photograph for this week’s photo challenge but it’s been grey and cloudy skies day after day and no hint of any shades of sunset or the sun. So I decided to go with a photo I took a year ago. I clicked it while travelling to Mookambika temple in Karnataka.
For those who haven’t seen in already I’ve included two other photos I posted before that was taken around the time of sunset.
I took this photo while going for a drive with my dad. Even though it’s a little blurred there is something I like about this photo. The blurriness makes it look like everything is moving or changing. This kind of fits seeing how fast this city is developing. When I moved here 10 years ago this was a small town with old buildings and the outer areas that where all under development.
This street in the photo used to look dull with just a few streetlights here and there, potholes and only a few shops. The other side of the road is a huge pond. Within a span of a couple of years the road and the rest of the city got a makeover. The street is one of the best drives now. The road is smooth, the area with the pond resembles a small park and shopping complexes have come up on the other side.
What it reminds me of are my friends. High School was somewhat of a painful experience. The only good thing that happened to me there was the friends I made. Infact that is one thing I cherish the most about that place . Five years later we still remain the best of friends.
This photo is of the school corridors where we used to spent time during breaks – laughing, joking and making fun of each other.
No, not the one with the sparkling vampires. The natural twilight – soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon.
Took this photo sometime last week just a few minutes after sunset. I haven’t done any editing other than cropping he photo a little bit. It looked beautiful as it is so didn’t see any need for adjustments.
Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable. -- Bruce Lee
